Wikispaces and Google Documents are a means for teachers and students to share knowledge and ideas. Wikispaces provides a web site address to locate files in the form of text, video, sound, animations, and simulations to use and share among teachers and students. Google Documents provides the software to produce these files that can be shared or embedded in webpages as "published" documents.

Google has provided a solution. Google has made available, online resources in the form of Google Docs ( a wordprocessor, presentation, spreadsheet, forms, and drawing software) for free. These online tools allow you to create and store your documents online and be accessible from any computer (home or school). You can also share your documents for revision with others without having multiple versions of the document.

The Google applications are not equal to MS-Word, MS-Excel, or MS-Powerpoint in detail but do have significant value. You can upload the original MS documents to access and share from multiple computers having the same authoring software or convert them into the Google equivalents for use with Google applications. All Google documents can be published to the Internet. Google will provide a URL address to link to your document or provide an embed code so your document will appear on a webpage.
